Young Cannibalswas founded in Birmingham in 1984 by singer Roland
Gift, bassist David Steele and guitarist Andy Cox in 1984.
Their
album "The Raw and the Cooked" made it to the top of the US and UK
Album charts, and contained two Billboard Hot 100 number ones: "She
Drives Me Crazy" and "Good Thing".
The band won Brit Awards for Best British Group and Best British Album.
They
broke up in 1992, recorded a new single, "The Flame" in 1996, and
toured in the 2000s as Roland Gift and the Fine Young Cannibals.
