David Hinds
was born in Handsworth, Birmingham, and is a founding member of Steel Pulse.As rhythm guitarist and lead vocalist, David (aka Dread) saw this roots reggae band go on to win a Grammy Award and perform at Bob Marley's funeral.
David released two solo singles via the France-based Heartical label, and has also written songs for films including "Can’t Stand The Heat," which featured in Spike Lee's movie "Do The Right Thing".
