John Bonham was born in the nearby town of Redditch in 1948, and grew
to become one of greatest drummers in the history of rock music.
He
started playing drums at five years of age from coffee tins and
containers, and received his first proper drum kit when he turned
fifteen.
He joined Led Zeppelin in 1968, and the
distinctive speed and power of his drumming became signature
features of many of the band's greatest songs.
John's symbolic name of three intersecting circles sigil was used for the Led Zeppelin IV album.
