Dave Pegg

was born in Acocks Green in 1947, and joined Birmingham's vibrant rock scene in the 1960s.

He joined the electric folk band Fairport Convention in 1969, and set up Woodworm Records to produce and market the band's albums.

Dave joined Jethro Tull as bass player in 1980, and spent 15 years with the band.  He was a bassist with The Ian Campbell Folk Group, and recorded a solo album.

He is also a mandolin player, and co-organises the Cropredy festival.
