David Harewood was born in Small Heath, and is an English actor.
He
trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art, and is best known for
playing David Estes, Deputy Director of the CIA's Counterterrorism
Center, in Homeland.
Harewood appeared on television in The Vice and Fat Friends, and on film in Blood Diamond and The Merchant of Venice.
He
appeared in the BBC drama Mrs Mandela, playing Nelson Mandela, and in
the Doctor Who story The End of Time. He portrayed Brother Tuck in the
third Robin Hood series, and played Martin Luther King in the premiere
