His books include The Hobbit and The Lord of the Rings, as well as a biography.
The Tolkien Trail includes the
Sarehole Mill,
Moseley Bog, Birmingham Oratory, Perrott's Folly.
An easy walking trail through the Shire Country Park starts at the Mill.
The Middle Earth Festival is held here in his memory each May.
