Arron Bird(aka Temper) grew up in Wolverhampton.
He
became one of the world's foremost graffiti artists, his artwork
adorning public spaces, art galleries, Saatchi & Saatchi's
headquarters, and about 100 million Sprite cans.
He was commissioned to create a public work of art for The Cube, a "jewellery box" of a bulding in central Birmingham
The resulting seven bronze figures feature "ordinary" people from Birmingham with heart-felt stories.
They
include a mother with her child who was born with a hole in the heart,
a bravery award-winning firefighter and a woman who survived the
Holocaust. Photo from Elliott Brown.
