is a canalside development in the centre of Birmingham.
It is named after James Brindley, the 18th century canal engineer.
Birmingham remains the hub of England's canal network. Its 35
miles of navigable canals are used by residential and tourist
narrowboats.
Brindleyplace is home to the National
Sea Life Centre, Ikon
Gallery of contempory art, shops, bars and restaurants, and
hosts summer festivals.
It connects to the International Convention Centre
and National
Indoor Arena by walking bridges.
