the Bullstands at the main entrance of the Bullring and is also known as The Guardian.
This 2.2-metre tall bronze statue depicts a running bull that is in mid-turn.
The
sculpture was created by Laurence Broderick and has proven very
photogenic, being dressed up in a snazzy Christmas jumper knitted
by Kings Heath craft collective, Stitches and Hos, or his dapper
Diamond Jubilee romper suit.
He was vandalised in 2005 and 2006, but remains a source of pride for locals and a gathering place for tourists.
